‘Money Power v/s Mind Power’- an interesting lecture was held at Project ‘Life’


For the consistent work of enlightening the minds with the lecture series ‘How Not To Fall Sick?’ a feather has been added with the lecture no. 148 on ‘Money Power v/s Mind Power’ on 19th April 2014. Dr. Kamal Parikh beautifully pointed out that this era is of mind power and not of money or muscle power in his lecture.
The lecture was attended by many persons who came to know about the basics of life. Dr. Kamal Parikh righteously put the powers and comparison between the power of money and mind in his one hour long lecture.
Concluding his lecture Dr. Parikh proved the strength of mind superior to the power of money by giving various examples from the life around us.
The lecture of Saturday was unique with another aspect as well. Before the lecture, Mr. Abhishek Dwivedi, Yoga Teacher of Project ‘Life’, made the persons experience some of the meditation techniques.The persons who attended the lecture and meditation, expressed gratitude, as they had an enriching experience of both the meditation and the lecture.

The new beginning to benefit more persons in a better way


Rajkot Voluntary Blood Bank and Research Centre (RVBB & RC) has been playing the key role in Saurashtra region for transfusion medicine. The blood bank has issued more than 5 lac units of blood or its components to the needy patients. Now this exemplary work is going to be enhanced in the newly constructed building for RVBB & RC. On March 23, 2014, the Naming Ceremony of this newly constructed state-of-the-art building took place. This newly constructed building is called - Centre for Excellence in Transfusion Medicine.
The Naming Ceremony, with the unveiling the curtain was performed by Shree Arunbhai Ramniklal Mehta. This newly built state-of-the-art building is named as   Smt. Sushilaben Ramniklal Mehta Bhavan. The naming ceremony was started at 9:30 a.m. at the new RVBB & RC building.
Following the unveiling of the event, the formal programme for the Naming Ceremony was held at the Hotel Imperial Palace from 11 AM. The vibes of holiness was spread with the beautiful vocal ‘Maitribhavnu Pavitra Zarnu’ by Nidhi Dholakiya. The event was graced by Dr. Pradip Parikh, Physician Cardiologist as the chief guest. Guests of honour of the event were Shree Dilip R. Mehta, Chief Executive Officer, Rosy Blue DMCC and Shree Vinod Pande, General Manager, Corporate Communication & Change Mngt. Dept., State Bank of India. The event was also graced by the Rajkot District Collector Dr. Rajendra Kumar and the Prince of Rajkot Shree Mandhatasinhjee.
During the event, while addressing the audience, Director of Rosy Blue and the chief donor of the blood bank expressed his views in these words: “The name of Rajkot city is going to be written in the golden letters for its service to the  mankind.” While the president of the event Shree Harshadbhai R. Mehta said, “There are many challenges before blood banking, but Rajkot Voluntary Blood Bank & Research Centre has faced them strongly and stood firmly. This new building would surely benefit many needy patients.”
The General Manager of Corporate Communication Department of State Bank of India, Shree Vinod Pande told that the State Bank of India understands the value of blood banking and SBI would join hands with Rajkot Voluntary Blood Bank & Research Centre in near future.
Well-known Cardiologist of Mumbai, Dr. Pradip Parikh and Dr. J. T. Vyas congratulated Koticha brothers for the exemplary work of Rajkot Voluntary Blood Bank & Research Centre. 
The new beginning was blessed by B.B. Pujya Smitabai Mahasatiji. The event was enlivened by the key-note address and chief programme facilitation by Shree Jay Vasavada. The Joint Director of Project ‘Life’ Smt. Meetalben Shah read the messages of the dignitaries like Shree Narendra Modi and others, specially sent to motivate the organization for this new beginning.
Other eminent persons from the different walks of life present in the event were Dr. Gautam Dave, Shree Niranjan Shah, Shree Vejabhai Ravalia, Shree Navin Shah, Shree Gunvantbhai Delawala, Shree Dilsukh Sheth, Shree T. R. Doshi, Shree Kirit Vassa and others.        
All the donors, trustees and guests were confident that this new building and its modern equipments would transform the scenario in respect to transfusion medicine facilities of the region.
