The Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony of Smt.
Taraben & Jamnadas Odhavji Sheth Primary School, Mervadar (Ta: Upleta,
Dist: Rajkot) is done as the part of Excellence in Education initiative
of Project Life. The initiative for the 55th school is taken, after
the successive 54 schools constructed by Project Life. The programme to lay the
strong foundation by the infrastructure that lasts long is taken place at the
village Meravadar of Rajkot district of Gujarat on 26th January of
2013.
The day that
was also the Republican Day of mother nation India started with the feeling of
patriotism and pride in the entire village. The villagers, the children and all
the eminent personalities gathered for the auspicious day. The kind support on
the name of Smt. Taraben and Jamnadas Odhavji Sheth is received by Project Life
for the excellence in education.
The event has created immense excitement in
villagers, would be students and the teachers’ fraternity. Stone Laying
Ceremony was performed by the august hands of Shri Kiritbhai Vasa and the Guest
of Honor was Shri Vitthalbhai Radadia, MLA, Dhoraji-Upleta along with Chief
Guest, Shri Pravin Makadia, Ex-MLA, Upleta and other Special Invitees were Shri
Lakhabhai Dangar, President, Taluka Panchayat, Shri Narendrabhai Dhandhal,
Mamlatdar, Upleta, Shri Lakshmanbhai Kangad, Senior Working President, State
Teachers Federation.
The children of the school also shown their
creativity and skills in the cultural programme arranged by the school. The
villagers were overwhelmed by the development that is expected to take place by
this school. Mr. Vitthalbhai Radadiya also expressed his joy by his kind and
appreciating words for one and all who contributed for this project. Mr.
Shashikant Koticha Managing Trustee of Project Life and The Project Life Team
ensured that the programme gets the appropriate colors of success and
awakening.
The Project Life has been
reforming the education scenario across Gujarat by its various initiatives
since past thirteen years under its Center for Excellence in Education
Programme.
